Meet the Kings

Tomorrow night we will be hosting Dave and Shawn King at Gateway. They have been serving as missionaries in Guatemala and are in town to reconnect and share about how they are serving the Lord. They were a part of our Gateway family while they served at Camp Homewood a number of years ago.

The Kings are the leaders of the Paz Abundante: House of Prayer, which is a ministry of Youth With a Mission (YWAM) Antigua at Lake Atitlán. Their goal is to build a team of prayer warriors who are dedicated to interceding for the lake, for Guatemala, and for the world. They also have a passion for self-sustainable living, family, and adoption. David is a gifted chef by trade and loves prayer, studying the Bible, and discipling children and youth to know Jesus. Shawn is an aspiring author and homeschool mom to kindergartener Zane.

Join us at 7:00pm for a presentation, some yummy Guatemalan coffee and inspiration to respond to God’s call to missions in your neighbourhood and around the globe.

Friday -Hope

Tomorrow. In the midst of a hard day have you ever found yourself looking forward to tomorrow, the possibility of a reprieve, a fresh start, a time for rest? In our service to the Lord we can keep our eyes up as we look forward to the great day of the return of Jesus and entering into the fullness of His kingdom and presence. Seeing Him face to face.
Take time to contend today for an increase in hope in our church, city and the world.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
John 14:3

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Thursday -Empowerment

Join us today at 12NOON and 7:00PM for two special prayer meetings at Gateway.

We get tired. While this is not a news flash it is our reality. Even with the best intentions our efforts to love, serve and bless fatigue us over time. The good news? We have a source of power that has no limit. It will never be exhausted.
Take time today to receive the filling of the Holy Spirit that Jesus promised us. Invite His strength into your areas of weakness and weariness. Pray that the activity of the Holy Spirit would be increased in the life of our church, for power and long-term fruitfulness.

John answered them all, saying, “I baptize you with water, but he who is mightier than I is coming, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
Matthew 4:23

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth
