In just a few weeks time a team is heading out from Gateway to bring hope to the Dominican Republic. Through Servant’s Heart Ministries the team will experience the various ministries including maternal health programs, school lunch programs and more. They will also work hard to assist in building a home for a family in need. You may not be able to go physically but we can partner in prayer as the team prepares physically and spiritually. Stay tuned here and at church on Sundays for updates and reports. Here are a few pictures of the home that will rebuilt. What an incredible opportunity to demonstrate God’s love in action.

Campbell River
Through our very own Seasons Freestore we are preparing to bless those in need in our city with blankets and bedding this October. Donation of clean and gently used bedding can be dropped off at the church. You can also consider giving financially to buy new blankets ($20 each). Mark you Offering Envelope at the church or indicate ‘Freestore’ through online giving.
Dominican Republic
We are sending a team from Gateway at the end of this month to partner with Servants Heart Ministries. The team is looking to collect and deliver children’s toys to be used as part of a maternal health program. Get in touch with Peter Hofer for more details.
Turkey/ Syria
Through Foursquare Disaster Relief we can bless refugees fleeing the Syrian Civil War with our financial gifts. Funds are given through local pastors and churches in Turkey to refugees in various camps. Indicate ‘Turkey’ when giving. Check out this short video to hear from a local Turkish pastor.
